Example: You cannot drive up to a gas station and fill your car directly up with VP C16 117 leaded, pay and then drive away. Nobody would consider that pump gas, since you have to buy it in barrels and it's not considered legal for on-road use. However, you can get 100 unleaded (and higher octanes) at regular old gas stations around here. Drive up to the Sunoco, fill up with 100 unleaded at $3.99 a gallon, top off the big gulp, drive away. It's sitting right next to the nozzle for the 94 octane, I have seen people confuse it quite a few times. That's why a lot of people will consider it pump gas since it is still unleaded and legal for on-road use, even though it is 100 octane instead of 94. So sometimes "pump" gas needs to be clarified a little when people are trying to get away with some claims. Didn't realize this was so hard to understand.
